Combined Shipping

You can get combined shipping rates for multiple item purchases in most cases:

  • Most of my items will be only $1.00 for shipping when combined with other purchases. (within the USA and International!)

  • Some very large or heavy items can only be shipped individually.

  • Some of the very heavy items have a reduced shipping rate when combining with other purchses - see individual item specifics for details if you have questions

  • I am always fair with shipping, and I even reduce the shipping amount further when purchses of multiple lightweight, and easily packable items allow.



    Shipping Guarantee & Insurance


  • I usually insure items over $200 on domestic delivery

  • Ebay does not allow sellers to offer extra insurance for an optional charge because only 1 or 2 out of every 1,000 items ever has an issue.

  • It is very very rare that an item is lost or broken in transit, so it is not appropriate for me to insure and track every package. However, in the rare occurence of one of these unfortunate events, I will work with you to determine fair resolution.

  • If you need encouragement about my standards and honesty, then please see my feedback profile on ebay, or my detailed seller ratings, or just ask anyone in the mineral industry. I have always taken much pride in my integrity with this business - after all I love rocks and the rock world!



    Packaging Materials and Mineral Specimen Safety

  • I use many different types of packing materials when shipping mineral specimens. Some materials are appropriate for some rocks, while others need much different materials to ensure safe, damage free transit.

  • We use recycled and environmentally "green" materials as much as possible, but the ultimate goal is to keep the minerals safe during transport. Even in the rare case when we have to use Styrofoam packing peanuts, we will always use 100% recycled ones. Please re-use and recycle as much of our materials as you can - after all, they are excellent for packing rocks!
